The Monday Club (latterly the Bishop Burton Country Friends) group is for women and men of the village. It meets once a month, usually the 2nd Monday in the month at 7.30pm in the village hall (doors open 7.15pm) to hear talks on a wide range of subjects that appeal to both men and women and a wide age range. At the end of the talk tea/coffee and biscuits are served.
Membership is £10 for the year, or you can come along to any you fancy for £3 a go. We hope you will find something that appeals to you and come and join us.
We would love to see you there. Everyone is welcome to come

Thierry (of TC Patisserie) treated us to a demonstration of how to make his chocolate tart. It was a wonderful convivial evening, and I even picked us some very useful tips in respect of making the pastry, how to bake it without the need for “beans” and making the chocolate filling. He then went on to demonstrate plate decorating – very artistic and skilful, but best of all we all got a slice of the tart with our coffee.
