URGENT - Open meeting for Village Residents to learn about Planning Application by
Rathlin Energy Tuesday, September 9th at 6.30 Bishop Burton Village Hall

Bishop Burton Parish Council have decided that this village is in favour of supporting a new planning permission by Rathlin for another 2 years of drilling and testing, however we haven’t been asked or consulted.  Everyone needs to know more about why Rathlin want more time and what comes next because the lease on the land is currently available for 50 years!

Residents of Bishop Burton have organised an open meeting in Bishop Burton Village Hall to share a different story about the Crawberry Hill well site.  Each and everyone of us, can prevent our beautiful countryside being destroyed by the petroleum industry.  If you want to keep breathing clean air, drinking clean water and enjoying the countryside and wildlife, then you need to be at the meeting next Tuesday to hear how you can preserve for yourself, your children and your grandchildren all that is important to you.  The 2nd most important Aquifer in the UK, that supplies all our clean water and the water for the whole area including Hull, we believe has already been drilled.  The deadline for objections is the 11th September, so there isn’t much time.  The application ref: 14/02622/STVAR can be seen on the ERYC planning website.  You will also see the many objections.

The meeting on Tuesday will also provide details about the planning application and how to object. If you can’t attend on Tuesday there is also a talk on Wednesday 10th September 2014 at the Toll Gavel United Church, Beverley at 7.30pm.   This is your chance to make sense of what is happening and to make your views known - please attend.
