All groups meet in the Village Hall except the Choir which meets in the Granary at Westfield Farm and the Golf Society which meets at a selected local golf club.

Yoga

Starting 16th September there will be Yoga in the Village Hall on Mondays - 5.30-6.45pm. All abilities welcome.

Monday Club

7.30-9.00pm (monthly 2nd Monday in the month) Everyone welcome to join us for our monthly meeting on a wide variety of topics. This year topics include:- Antiques Roadshow - The Teddy Bear; Gardening; and Memorial to the Lumber Jills; and the annual outing. Annual Membership £8.50, or pay as you go £2. Soft furnishing and sewing including decorative techniques.

Tuesday 7.00-10.00pm and Fridays 9.30am - 1.30pm (term starts w/c 23rd September). Everyone welcome. A relaxed informal group with an interest in sewing. Experienced and fully qualified tuition. Whether you have never sewn before or have sewn over the years but would like to learn more. Maybe you would just like to sew with others as company. Large tables available. Examples of decorative techniques - quilting; Patchwork; Tucks & Pleats etc. (contact Ann Nequest (01482) 847735).

Bishop Burton Village Choir.

Tuesdays 7.30-9.30pm. Anyone who lives in the village or is vaguely connected to it and is over 16 is welcome to join in the fun. There is no audition; you do not have to be able to read music or have sung in a choir before - you just need to enjoy singing! (contact Bryn Jones 550255) 

Beverley Stroke Club.

12.30 - 2.30pm (1st Wednesday in the month). Meet is over lunch (members supply) followed by an activity/speaker. Trips are arranged for the summer meets. £1 per person per session. (contact Tony & Judy Newlove for information on (01482) 864882).

Bishop Burton Indoor Bowls

Wednesdays 8.00-10.00pm. (new season starts 11 September). New members welcome. Come and join us for a couple of hours of gentle exercise and fun, no experience necessary, all equipment provided. Tea/coffee and biscuits included. - cost £1.50 per session. (contact Leslie Hebb 551315)

Fun Pet Dog Training.

Fridays 7.30-9.30pm Open to anyone with a dog! Session designed to be fun and train your dog. £3 per session. (to find out more call Dyane on 502726)

Golf Society

We meet twice a year at golf clubs in the area, usually followed by a meal at the Altisidora. Both men and women of any level of golf ability are welcome to join - it's free.Contact Rob Douthwaite (01964) 550587.
