Bryan  Woodward wrote an earlier article about the School Certificate Exam 1938.

If you recall, the School Certiicate was the equivalent of today's GCSEs. It was abolished in 1951 when GCE examinations were introduced. Bryan has now scanned copies of several exam papers which were in Jim Dunning's possession which you might like to try out. The attachments below contains exams in

  • English Language
  • English Literature
  • French
  • Maths - Algebra
  • Maths - Arithmetic
  • Maths - Geometry
  • Physics
  • Scripture Knowledge

The exams are split into several files covering one or more pages. You may need to zoom n on the images to see the words properly.
