Over 70 people gathered in All Saints' Church, Bishop Burton, on 17th November 2010 to celebrate the re-organised ministry for the village. Canon Angela Bailey received a licence from Richard Frith, the Bishop of Hull which enables her to be the priest in charge for the church. She will combine this with her other responsibilities as the incumbent at Rowley and Skidby, and at Walkington while also maintaining her duties as the Rural Dean for Beverley. The Rev'd Ruth Newton has been appointed as the curate for the church to assist Angela.

In celebrating the ministry, the Bishop recognised the continuing support that would be given by Rev'd Paul Davies, Rev'd Robin McDowall and Rev'd Canon Catherine Durnford, Readers David Jefferson, Peter Campion and Colin Belsham and by the churchwardens, David Oxtoby and Hilary Swann. Hilary Swann, Amanda Danforth, Sue Thomas and Muriel Wray (in absentia) were also called to the ministry of administering the sacrament of Holy Communion to the people of God in the parish of Bishop Burton. The Bishop also spoke warmly of the strong links between All Saints Church and the Methodist Chapel in Bishop Burton and their minister, the Rev'd Liz Allison.

The Bishop also thanked those who had been involved in the preparation of the church for this event especially Graham Pittaway who had undertaken the re-painting of the walls..
