Quintessential Midsummer Concert a great success!!

We were treated to another stunning performance by the very talented and versatile "Quintessential" vocal quintet - and all on a perfect summer's evening in the "quintessentially" perfect English setting of our lovely village church. The audience were entertained with a varied programme from their very wide repertoire ranging from Elizabethan madrigals to Tom Lehrer and all manner of songs in between!! Their perfect harmonies and vocal blending, together with their wry sense of humour made for a very enjoyable musical evening . Wine and plenteous canapes were served and much enjoyed by all in the interval. The church looked lovely enhanced by country flowers - smelled lovely too! A perfect venue for this special event.

Many thanks to all those who generously provided canapes and flowers and to those who supported the event. And to "Quintessential" who kindly gave the concert free. A grand sum of £750 was made for the Fabric Fund towards the necessary redecoration of the church following the completion of the major roof repairs. Thank you to all who came on the night - it was indeed a fun musical evening!
