A distinct lack of female competitors meant that numbers were less than usual at the Autumn Meeting of the Society. On a beautiful day on an excellent testing course at Hornsea, competition was as keen as ever.

In the Ladies section it came down to a two way battle which was eventually won by Liz Swann narrowly beating Ann Cooke.

Two or three were in contention for the Mens prize which was won by Richard Stocks with Roger Middleton second. Considering the difficulty of the course, the mens scores were very creditable.

Some ladies joined the Golfers for the usual ‘Apres Golf' in the Altisidora where everyone enjoyed an excellent meal, accompanied by the usual amounts of wine and a thoroughly good evening was had by all.
