In the absence of the usual entertainments that we would normally be running in Bishop Burton I have put together a list of online events that may help as a substitute for our jolly visits to the village hall, the cinema and the theatre. Cine North 

Cine North are the organisation who supply films that we use in BB Cinema. Since we cannot show the films at the moment in the village hall, CineNorth are showing some films using BBC i Player and Channel4.com For more information on the programme of films click on this link to Cine North films updated 24/4/2020.

Pocklington Arts centre

National Theatre

The National Theatre will be streaming a free production each night at 7.00 pm. The first one starts at 7.00 pm 2nd April and can be viewed anytime via Youtube for the next seven days. Further information and instructions are on the National Theatre web site at https://www.nationaltheatre.org.uk/nt-at-home The national are also running a quiz at 7.00 pm on the last Monday of each month with celebrity quizmasters. The Royal Albert Home

Royal Opera House

East Riding Theatre 

As part of ERT's attempt to keep the Arts going at this time, Epiphany was broadcast live on 2nd April ands  remained on youtube after the broadcast: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzNiIzKIv5Y It is a 30 minute radio play about two fire-watchers in the London Blitz, written by Richard Avery and featuring Richard and Neil King. They produced it as part of a live on stage tour in 2010, and it was subsequently adapted as a radio play at the University of Lincoln recording studios.

Cineworld
