The East Riding of Yorkshire Council has received Planning applications for a petrol filling station/convenience store on land near the Killingwoldgraves roundabout in the parish of Bishop Burton. The proposals are split into two applications:

a) Application number: 19/01217/PLF
Proposal: Erection of petrol filling station and retail store
Location: Land North East Of Killingwoldgraves Roundabout Bishop Burton East Riding Of Yorkshire HU17 8QF Applicant: BP Oil Ltd Application type: Full Planning Permission
Deadline for comments – 17th May.

AND

b) Application number: 19/01218/PAD
Proposal: Display of 1 double sided internally illuminated ID Totem sign, 4 internally illuminated fascia signs (retail store) and 4 internally illuminated fascia signs (petrol filling station)
Location: Land North East Of Killingwoldgraves Roundabout Bishop Burton East Riding Of Yorkshire HU17 8QF Applicant: BP Oil Ltd Application type: Consent to Display an Advertisement.
Deadline for comments – 18th May

The Bishop Burton Parish Council considered the plans on 1st May and unanimously agreed to recommend the rejection of the proposal by the Planning Authority of the ERYC. Walkington Parish Council has also objected to the proposal.
